Hi, I'm Milad.
I design and run the infrastructure other teams depend on. For 13 years that has meant networks,
virtualization, high-throughput streaming fleets and Kubernetes platforms on AWS and GCP. miPlat Labs is
my business: I bring that experience to clients as a consultant, and into products of my own.
- 13+years in infrastructure
- 40+ Gbpsstreaming throughput, scaled from 5
- ~100servers run in production
- CKACertified Kubernetes Administrator
How I got here
I started close to the hardware: racking servers, planning IP ranges and wiring up Cisco and Huawei
networks. From there I moved up the stack, to virtualization, containers, cloud infrastructure and,
eventually, platform engineering.
That path shaped how I work: understand the system deeply, automate what should be automated, and
make the right path the easy one for whoever uses it. miPlat Labs runs on the same principles. The
apps are small, the infrastructure is code, and everything is hosted in the EU.

From legacy servers to AWS EKS
Services ran directly on Linux servers, each with its own deployment quirks and runbook. I helped
rebuild the path to production around one standard platform.
- RuntimeAWS EKS as the standard runtime, replacing per-service Linux hosts; GKE clusters maintained alongside.
- ProvisioningTerraform and Terragrunt for repeatable, consistent environments.
- DeliveryHelm packaging and GitLab CI/CD pipelines, so shipping became routine instead of risky.
- VisibilityDatadog, Prometheus and Grafana for cluster and service health.
- DataPostgreSQL tuned for high availability, backups and query performance during the move.

Scaling streaming from 5 to 40+ Gbps
A video streaming platform on self-hosted Kubernetes had to grow its throughput about eightfold,
on roughly 100 servers, without losing availability.
- Growth5 Gbps → 10 → 20 → 40+ Gbps, in measured scaling passes.
- EdgeHAProxy tuned for high-throughput, low-latency streaming traffic.
- HostsKernel and network-stack tuning to remove throughput ceilings.
- PlatformSelf-hosted Kubernetes on OpenStack, automated with Terraform and Ansible.
- ReliabilityRedundancy and capacity planning so scale didn't cost availability.

From static hardware to a virtual platform
As system architect, I designed the layers the company's systems would run on: compute, storage
and messaging.
- ComputeDocker, OpenStack and VMware in place of manually managed machines.
- StorageGlusterFS, SAN and NFS for shared and persistent data.
- MessagingRabbitMQ to decouple services.

A video platform on a studio budget
Our ReelzPro apps, including Dub-zi, run on infrastructure I
designed to be small, cheap and fully reproducible.
- EdgeCloudflare DNS, Pages and Workers, all managed with Terraform.
- AppsContainerized services on EU servers, with a reserved IP that survives server rebuilds.
- ResilienceA Worker in front of each app shows a maintenance page while the server is down.

2021 – 2024
- Migrated legacy services from hand-managed Linux servers to Kubernetes on AWS EKS, replacing fragmented manual deployments with one standard platform.
- Automated provisioning with Terraform and Terragrunt, and maintained GKE clusters alongside EKS.
- Built GitLab CI/CD pipelines and Helm-based releases.
- Ran observability with Datadog, Prometheus and Grafana, and tuned PostgreSQL for high availability, backups and query speed.

2019 – 2021
- Scaled a video streaming platform from about 5 Gbps to more than 40 Gbps of throughput, while keeping it highly available.
- Ran about 100 servers and a self-hosted Kubernetes platform on OpenStack.
- Tuned the Linux network stack and HAProxy for high-throughput traffic, and automated the fleet with Terraform and Ansible.
